Privacy Policy:
Bullying.org Canada Incorporated will do our very best to treat every person who makes a submission with respect, dignity and an appropriate level of privacy. Each person who makes a submission will be sent a confirmation message from Bullying.org unless we are notified otherwise, to ensure that their submission has been published to the submitter's satisfaction.
We will only publish contact information of those who have identified themselves as adults and who have expressed the wish to have this contact information posted on the website, for their own reasons. Beyond our request for confirmation, submitters will rarely if ever hear from us.
We will NEVER knowingly divulge submitters' names or contact information to others. If others do want to contact contributors we will not facilitate connections to those known to us as being under 18 years of age. If others wish to contact contributors known to us to be adults, we will forward such requests to our adult contributors and let them decide if they wish to pursue further communication.
Occasionally we may help credible media and academic interests by publishing their requests for help on the website. It will then be up to our visitors to pursue further communication with these interests if they wish.
We will do our best to ensure that each submission is true and as accurate as is possible within our means. We are not responsible for false or inaccurate submissions which we have posted on behalf of submitters in good faith. We will NOT publish the last names or any personal contact information of youth under the age of 18 without the approval of parents or guardians. We will NOT publish the names of specific people and/or places which submitters may name in their submissions. We will change these specific names or references to a generic *******.
We will NOT publish swearing or profanity. Inappropriate language will also be replaced with a generic ******* as we want to be a resource for people of all ages. However, we will do our very best to respect to spirit of each submission. We will not publish submissions that have explicit sexual depictions or references. Apart from the exceptions previously noted, we will usually publish all submissions as initally submitted to Bullying.org.
As we are currently facilitated on a volunteer, part-time basis, we will do our best to publish submissions in a timely manner, however, the sheer volume of visitors does not always make this possible. We will do our best, so PLEASE forgive us if you do not see your submission published as quickly as you might hope. We reserve the right not to publish submissions that we do not think are in the best interests of those who are in need of help. Please also be advised that when your story is published we will occasionally give permission for others to use these submissions to help positively address the issues of bullying and teasing. If you are interested in doing so, please contact usby using our contact form.
